AntivirusLv 2Evade WindowLv 2Flayer 5 is the core: more wounds means more chances for the glaive's optimal combo, a Rising Spiral Slash followed by a Focus Strike on a wound to get your extracts back. Keep attacking to fight off the Black Eclipse virus (or eat a Nulberry) before its bar fills, since a full bar makes you take double damage; overcoming it grants bonus affinity. Darcblade plays it on the safe side for hard hunts; if you are confident, trade the Evasion and Protection jewels and the charm for more offence.
FlayerFlayer makes wounds easier to open and, after enough buildup, releases a burst of non-elemental damage. More wounds means more Rising Spiral Slash into Focus Strike cycles, the glaive's highest-damage pattern.
Black Eclipse I2 ptsAntivirusSororal Coil α and the weapon roll give Gore Magala's Tyranny: a purple bar over your health fills during the fight and doubles the damage you take if it fills. Nulberries lower it, and dealing enough damage fights it off for bonus affinity; Antivirus 3 makes that easier and adds 10% base affinity once you overcome it.
Hasten Recovery II4 ptsGuts (Tenacity)5 ptsFour Arkvulcan γ pieces unlock Arkveld's Hunger, Hasten Recovery I and II: your health comes back as you keep attacking, which covers chip damage. They also carry Lord's Soul for Guts: more attack and less defence until it saves you from one lethal hit, after which it becomes a defence and elemental resistance buff.
Convert ElementConvert Element 3 from the Arkvulcan Mail γ adds a dragon effect to your attacks after you take elemental damage, on top of the weapon's own element, so it still helps on a fire Limbo Llor.
Another element: swap Dragon/Handicraft for the matching jewel (Darcblade's second weapon is fire with Blaze/Handicraft).
With enough affinity, a Critical Boost jewel can replace Flight/Expert.
The rolled charm (Antivirus 2, Evade Window 2, slots 2-1) is Darcblade's own. Any charm works if it gets Antivirus to 3 and adds a few Evade Window points, from its skills or its slots.
