Weakness ExploitLv 3Darcblade built it for Gogmazios and any monster with a strong elemental weakness, and it favours grounded combos over the airborne style. Finish combos with Rising Spiral Slash, then use a Focus Strike on a wound to refill your extracts right away; Power Prolonger 3 keeps them up longer on monsters where wounds are hard to open or in groups that take them first. Evade Window is the main defence here, since the glaive has few defensive tools besides its offset: keep it maxed solo and lower it in a group.
Mutual Hostility II4 ptsThree Gogmazios pieces plus the Gogmapocalypse roll on the weapon reach four points. Level I raises elemental damage while the monster is enraged; level II surrounds your hunter with a swirling-oil barrier against large monsters that prevents major damage from a hit, then goes on cooldown.
Evade WindowAdrenaline RushRathalos Greaves β and three Evasion jewels max Evade Window, the main defensive skill for the glaive in Darcblade's view. The Gogmazios Mail β brings Adrenaline Rush 2, which raises raw attack whenever you dodge through an attack at the right time.
Scorcher I2 ptsBurst Boost I2 ptsGogmazios Mail β and Rathalos Greaves β give Rathalos's Flare (Scorcher): a chance for your attacks to add a burst of fire damage. The Ebony helm and the Gogmazios Coil α give Ebony Odogaron's Power (Burst Boost), which extends Burst and adds 8 raw while it is active.
Darcblade leaves the kinsect to personal preference but recommends one with the Harvest Extract kinsect boost, which makes even low-level kinsects such as the Foebeetle or the Gullshad viable. The same advice applies to the other Insect Glaive builds from the video.
Another element: swap the three Blaze jewels for the matching jewels of your weapon's element (Darcblade's second weapon is a dragon Limbo Llor with Enhancer/Dragon, Rzr Sharp/Dragon and Crit Elem/Dragon).
In a group, drop some Evasion jewels for offensive ones.
Maximum Might is at 2: replace the Jumping jewel with a Mighty jewel for level 3, at the cost of Evade Extender.
An attack-focused Limbo Llor also works; aim for at least one Sharpness EX roll, and one Affinity EX roll if attack-focused.

Its raw attack is on the low side, so it deals less damage to monsters without a clear elemental weakness, and it needs a Gogma Artian weapon rolled with Gogmapocalypse. Darcblade notes that roll is uncommon but not among the rarest.
