Play around the counters: offset in Axe Mode and parry in Sword Mode. Each one costs a sliver of health, and that red portion is all Resentment needs for +25 attack, with Bad Blood adding extra hits on top. The parry knockback also triggers Counterstrike 3 (+25 attack). Black Eclipse infects you with the Frenzy at the start of every fight: deal enough damage to cure it for an affinity boost, bigger with Antivirus 3, and eat a Nulberry if the bar gets close to full. Stun Resistance 3 keeps repeated offsets from stunning you. It works best solo, where the monster targets you and the counters come more often.

Resentment and Bad Blood from parry chip damage
Udra Mirebraces γ carry Resentment 3 and two Furor jewels finish it: +25 attack whenever your health bar shows recoverable (red) damage. The Udra mail and braces are two points of Nu Udra's Mutiny, which unlocks Bad Blood: extra damage on your hits while Resentment is active. The chip damage from a parry or an offset is enough to switch both on.

Counterstrike adds +25 attack for a while after you are knocked back. The Switch Axe parry counts, so a successful parry buys you Resentment, Counterstrike and a free counterattack at the same time.

Gore Greaves β and the Gore Magala's Tyranny roll make two points for Black Eclipse: a purple Frenzy bar fills during the fight and, if it maxes out, you take more damage. Deal enough damage and it converts into an affinity bonus instead; Antivirus 3 makes the cure faster and adds 10% affinity when it happens. Nulberries hold the bar back if you need time.

Weakness Exploit 5 on weak points, Maximum Might 3 at full stamina, Latent Power, the cured Frenzy and the Lagiacrus set bonus (Leviathan's Fury: extra thunder damage on buildup and a short affinity boost) stack well past 100% in the best windows. Critical Boost 4 then raises the raw part of every crit.

The Udra γ mail and braces carry two points of Lord's Soul and the weapon roll a third, which unlocks Guts Tenacity: more attack and less defense until it saves you from a lethal hit, then extra defense and resistances instead.
Swaps
If you are missing a piece
The Golden Age Charm is a random roll (Attack Boost 2, Focus 1, Latent Power 1, one weapon slot and two 1 slots). Attack Boost 2 and the slots are what matter; with a weaker charm, move the Critical jewel back to a weapon slot and accept Attack Boost 3.
Both weapon rolls are needed: without Gore Magala's Tyranny you lose Black Eclipse, without Lord's Soul you lose Guts Tenacity. Darcblade lists that RNG as the build's main drawback.
In multiplayer you get fewer parries and offsets; the Evasion Switch Axe or the Elemental Switch Axe hold up better there.

Does the element of the Wicked Regnum matter for this build?
Barely. The build is raw-focused (power phial, Attack Boost, Resentment, Counterstrike), so it works on any monster. Matching the element gives a small extra edge; Darcblade shows a dragon and a paralysis version.

Why is this build better solo?
Resentment and Counterstrike depend on the parry and the offset, and those need the monster to attack you. In a group the monster spreads its attacks over four hunters, so you trigger them less often.
