An elemental Light Bowgun build that runs Mutual Hostility II from three Gogmazios pieces and the Bethorned Agony roll, then uses Bubbly Dance to give itself bubbleblight so Coalescence 3 keeps firing; Weakness Exploit 5, Maximum Might 3 and Tetrad Shot 3 carry the affinity, and swapping one weapon jewel changes the element.
Bethorned Agony forged element-focused in the element you need (fire here), upgraded to its Gogma form. Bowgun mods: Element Ammo Powder, Rapid-Fire Magazine and Adhesive Ammo; a Special Ammo Magazine for two Adhesive shots is a fine swap.
RolledGogmapocalypse1Scale Layering1
Set skill: Gogmapocalypse (the fourth Gogmazios piece)
Pick the element the monster is weakest to, load element ammo and stay at critical distance (Ballistics 3 widens it). Dodge a few times to trigger Bubbly Dance: the minor bubbleblight wears off on its own and Coalescence boosts your elemental attack every time it does. Keep stamina full for Maximum Might; Second Wind gives you a spare gauge, so a couple of evasive hops do not cancel the affinity. The Mutual Hostility barrier soaks the first hit of an exchange, which is why this is the build Darcblade farms Gogmazios with.
Synergies
Why each skill is in the set
01Mutual Hostility II4 pts
Mutual Hostility II at critical distance
Gogmazios Vambraces α, Coil β and Greaves β plus the Bethorned Agony roll reach four points of Gogmapocalypse. At rank I every element shot hits harder while the monster is enraged. At rank II a barrier soaks the first hit of an exchange and comes back after a cooldown: that is why Darcblade farms Gogmazios and arch-tempered monsters with this bowgun.
02Bubbly Dance I2 ptsCoalescence
Bubbly Dance: blight on demand
Mizutsune Mail β and Gogmazios Coil β each carry a point of Mizutsune's Prowess for Bubbly Dance I: a few evasive hops give you minor bubbleblight. When it wears off, Coalescence triggers, so the bowgun gets its elemental boost between volleys without taking a hit. Darcblade prefers this to the Gore Magala route, which infects you with the Frenzy instead.
03Second Wind I2 ptsMaximum Might
Second Wind for the bowgun's evade hops
G. Fulgur Helm β and the Gogmazios Vambraces α share Fulgur Anjanath's Will for Second Wind I, an extra stamina gauge. Spending that spare gauge does not drop Maximum Might, so the +30% affinity survives the Light Bowgun's evade hops.
04Weakness ExploitMaximum MightAgitator
Affinity stack for element ammo
Weakness Exploit 5, Maximum Might 3, Agitator 4 and Tetrad Shot 3 (from the fourth shot of each magazine) push affinity high enough for Critical Element 3 to matter. Opening Shot 3 on the charm speeds up reloads and powers up the first shot of a full magazine; Ammo Boost EX rolls lengthen the magazine, which is what Tetrad Shot wants.
05Weakness Exploit
Transcend the two rarity 6 pieces
G. Fulgur Helm β and Mizutsune Mail β are rarity 6, so Transcendence upgrades their slots: the helm goes from 2 to 3-1 and the mail from 2-2 to 3-3. That is what fits four Tenderizer jewels for Weakness Exploit 5 plus a third Protection Jewel; the three Gogmazios pieces are rarity 8 and keep their slots.
Swaps
If you are missing a piece
Another element: swap the Bethorned Agony for one forged in that element and Blaze/Precise for the matching jewel (Dragon/Precise, Frost/Precise, Bolt/Precise, Stream/Precise). Nothing else changes.
Focus/Precise in place of Crit Element/Precise gives Focus 3, which recharges the rapid-fire gauge faster; Critical Element is the part of the build Darcblade calls optional.
Growth Jewel (Self-Improvement) and Shockproof Jewel (Shock Absorber) are the two free picks: Darcblade calls them optional, swap them for whatever you need.
Corrupted Mantle recharges the rapid-fire gauge faster; Rocksteady Mantle trades that for safety.

Gogmazios Coalescence Light Bowgun FAQ
01
What gear does the Gogmazios Coalescence Light Bowgun build use?
Bethorned Agony with Blaze/Precise Jewel [3], Bandolier/Precise Jwl [3], Crit Element/Precise Jwl [3]; G. Fulgur Helm β, Mizutsune Mail β, Gogmazios Vambraces α, Gogmazios Coil β, Gogmazios Greaves β; Secret Charm; Corrupted Mantle (or Rocksteady Mantle). That reaches Weakness Exploit 5, Fire Attack 3, Coalescence 3, Maximum Might 3 with Mutual Hostility II, Second Wind I, Bubbly Dance I.
02
When should I use the Gogmazios Coalescence Light Bowgun build?
Soft skin · HZV 45+.
03
Does this Light Bowgun build need a specific charm?
It uses a rolled Secret Charm with Opening Shot 3, Weakness Exploit 1 and one level 2 armor slot, which holds the Mighty Jewel. Any charm with Opening Shot works; without Weakness Exploit on it you drop to Weakness Exploit 4.
04
Why give yourself bubbleblight?
Coalescence only activates after a blight or abnormal status wears off. Bubbly Dance applies minor bubbleblight after a few evades, so Coalescence 3 keeps triggering without the risk of the Frenzy route.
05
Where does the Gogmazios Coalescence Light Bowgun build come from?
It is adapted from Darcblade's video "BEST OF THE BEST LIGHT BOWGUN BUILDS : MONSTER HUNTER WILDS", re-fitted to the game data on this site: every piece, jewel and skill total above is checked against the database, and the swaps list what was changed and why.
06
Is Light Bowgun good in Ver. 1.042?
Light Bowgun is A tier on the weapon tier list. This is one of 4 Light Bowgun builds on the site, each tuned for a different target.
