Blango α gives Agitator 5 (max), Counterstrike 3 (max), Wide-Range 3, Item Prolonger 2 and Palico Rally 2 across its 5 pieces. Its set bonus Blangonga's Spirit unlocks War Cry I at 2 pieces and War Cry II at 4 pieces; 5 of its pieces carry the bonus, so 4 pieces of this set alone reach War Cry II. The group bonus Fortifying Pelt (Fortify) needs 3 pieces from any of the 1 sets that share it.
How do you craft Blango α armor?
Forging the full Blango α set costs 25,000 z and Blangonga Pelt+ ×11, Blangonga Fang+ ×9, Blangonga Tail ×7, Blangonga Whisker ×7, Blangonga Certificate S ×4 and Freezer Sac ×3 plus 4 more materials. Hunt Blangonga and Hirabami in high rank for the monster parts; the rest is mined, gathered or bought. Each piece is forged separately at the Smithy under High Rank.
What is the difference between Blango α and Blango β?
Blango α carries 15 skill levels and 6 decoration slots (2-1-1-1-1-1); Blango β carries 8 skill levels and 10 slots (2-2-2-2-2-2-1-1-1-1). Defense (240→400), resistances, materials and the set bonus are identical, and α and β pieces mix freely towards the bonus. Pick α pieces for the skills they carry, β pieces where you would rather slot decorations of your own.
